Metal & Ceramic Pellet 3D Printer
Print metal and ceramic green parts directly from compatible pellet feedstocks.
AxenForm twin-screw pellet 3D printing systems support metal, ceramic, polymer, and filled-composite feedstocks. Choose a compact desktop configuration or a custom gantry platform with a print bed and build volume tailored to your application. Pricing is quoted for your selected system and requirements.
Metal & Ceramic Printing
Print compatible metal injection molding (MIM) or ceramic injection molding (CIM) feedstocks into green parts, then use feedstock-specific debinding and sintering to produce the final metal or ceramic components. The printer shapes the bound feedstock; it does not directly produce fully dense metal or ceramic parts in a single step.
Candidate materials include 316L and 17-4PH stainless steels, alumina, and zirconia. Material compatibility, shrinkage compensation, furnace atmosphere, and processing cycles must be confirmed for each formulation. Debinding and sintering equipment and services are specified separately in your quote.
Twin-Screw Extrusion
Two counter-rotating, intermeshing screws melt, mix, and extrude compatible pellets without a separate filament-making step. The platform also supports suitable polymer pellets, prepared recycled feedstocks, custom colors, and filled composites.
Desktop & Custom Gantry Systems
We offer desktop configurations and custom gantry printers with adjustable platform dimensions and build volumes to suit your part size, workspace, and application. Final configuration and lead time are confirmed with your quote.
Feedstock Supply & Customization
AxenForm supplies polymer pellets, filled composites, and compatible metal and ceramic feedstocks. Custom formulations are available to meet your material and processing requirements.
Extruder Reference Specifications
Kit weight: 700 g. Screw diameter: 15 mm per screw. Pellet size: up to 3 mm. Layer height: 0.1–0.5 mm. Reported print speed: up to 120 mm/s, subject to operating conditions. Structural temperature limit: 450 °C; this is not a continuous operating temperature rating. These specifications describe the extruder kit, not the overall printer dimensions or weight.
